Pharmacological interactions
We characterise how the two agents behave together: additive, synergistic or antagonistic effects, measured against single-agent baselines.
Licensed research laboratory
KO Research Labs runs protocol-driven studies on the controlled combination of ketamine and opioids: how the two agents interact, how dosing frameworks are built, and which parameters hold up when a study is repeated.
About the lab
KO Research Labs was set up to study one question: what happens when ketamine and opioids are combined under controlled conditions? We run dual-agent studies in regulated laboratory and clinical research settings, and every activity is designed around our licensing requirements, ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.
We don't treat patients. There is no public clinic, no clinical care and no direct patient programme. What we offer credentialed professionals and institutional partners is a controlled research environment for legitimate investigation.
Research focus
Three connected lines of inquiry, all run under controlled conditions and documented so that another lab could repeat them.
We characterise how the two agents behave together: additive, synergistic or antagonistic effects, measured against single-agent baselines.
We build systematic, pre-registered frameworks for ratios, sequencing and timing, each one specified in full before any study begins.
We study the variables that decide whether a result holds: environment, timing, measurement and controls, all tracked so the findings can be reproduced.
The protocol
Every study follows the same five-stage path. No stage is skipped, and every stage leaves a record.
We set out the hypotheses, endpoints, controls and analysis plan in full before any work starts.
Each study is reviewed independently and checked against licensing conditions and applicable guidelines.
Credentialed staff run the study in a licensed environment, and every material is tracked with chain-of-custody records.
We keep a complete, time-stamped record of methods, deviations and raw data, so the audit trail has no gaps.
We write our methods so that others can reproduce them, and we report results the same way whether they are positive, negative or null.
Partnership model
Pharmacologists and laboratory researchers handle study design, assay development and analysis.
Licensed clinicians check that each study's questions and parameters make sense clinically, under appropriate oversight.
Universities, research institutes and regulated organisations use our controlled environment for their own approved studies.
